MediaPlanHQ v3.3 is now online !

We are pleased to announce MediaPlanHQ v3.3.

Here are the new features:

Notification banner

Often we have important messages to broadcast to you.  This includes scheduled server maintenance or new releases.  Previously, we always sent one-on-one emails, but we always felt this was not efficient.  From now on, we will use the notification banner for those messages.  When there is a message, it will appear automatically at the top of your screen at your next login.



Define user access control based on markets (administrator only)

You can now control access to the content of the calendar, planning, production, and accounting modules based on markets.  This is useful if you have users that should only see the calendar, media insertions, creative projects, and invoices of given markets.  

For example, if your marketing department manages the marketing activities of multiple stores, you may give the store manager access to only view the activities of his store.

To configure the access control based on markets, edit a user in the administration module and select the markets the user has access.


Filter / Search combos

Previously, searching in the planning, production, and accounting modules would reset the filters.  Now, you can combine searches and filters together to refine you results.


Set the specification information directly when creating media insertion

Often when creating a media insertion, you already have all the specification information for the creative in hand.  Previously, you had to create the media insertion in the planning module, book the media insertion, and only then were you able to open the creative project in the production module to set the specification info.

Now, you can set the specification info when creating the media insertion, avoiding the multiple step process.


Change creative project assignment directly from the production list

You can now change the assignment of a creative project directly from the production list.


Configure default sorting (administrator only)

If you have administration permissions, you can now customize the default sorting of the planning, production, and accounting modules.  Follow these steps to change the default sorting:

  1. Click on the "configure column" icon to enable the configure column mode in a module. 
  2. Then, click the column heading to change the sorting accordingly.  Any changes to the sorting while in the configure column mode will modify the default sorting.
  3. Finally, click on the "configure column" icon again to disable the configure column mode in a module.  All users who accesses the module will now get the new sorting.
