Release date: October 17, 2019
When working on projects, you may need to ask questions to a specific person that may (or not) be assigned to the project.
Currently, you can add a comment to a project to ask your question, and MediaPlanHQ will notify all the users assigned to that project. But there is no way to notify specific users, or other users that are not assigned to the project.
In this release, you can use @mention in comments to ping someone for questions or feedback. When a comment contains @mentions, only those users will receive notifications.
Let see how it works...
Mentioning someone
To mention someone, type '@' in a new comment followed by the first letters of their name:
Choose the person you want to mention from the list of suggestions.
You can mention several person in a single comment.
Note that the notifications are only sent on the first occurrence of the mention, and only on new comments, thus no notifications are sent when updating an existing comment.
Mentioned by someone
Notifications based on mentions are always sent regardless of your user profile settings for receiving notifications.
When someone mentions you in a comment, you’ll get a notification via email that says who mentioned you and links to the project:

That's it ! We hope you'll enjoy the new @mention in comments.
Give it a try and let us know what you think !
As always, don't hesitate to send us your great feedback or other idea for new features !
Have a great day,
The MediaPlanHQ team
