MediaPlanHQ - July 2017

 

We are pleased to announce this new release of MediaPlanHQ.

Here are the features: 

General enhancements

Feature #1: View details only from list view

You can now view the details of a media insertion or creative project directly from the "List" view.

In the "Planning" module, click the new "eye" button to view the details of a specific media insertion:

 

In the "Production" module, click the new "eye" button to view the details of a specific creative project:

 

 

Feature #2: Responsible roles by status

You can now define the roles that are responsible for the actual work in all media insertion statuses and creative project statuses.

For example, in the screenshot above, we see that:

  • The "marketing manager" or "creative director" role are responsible "to brief" projects
  • The "creative resource" role is responsible when projects are in  "To do" or "In prod"
  • The "marketing manager" role is responsible when projects are in "Ready for review", "Awaiting info", and "In approval"

In the media insertions list or creative project list, the responsible is now highlighted:

 

Existing users: Your account was migrated using a matching logic based on the "responsible for production" / "responsible for delivery" flags defined in each roles and the "production done" / "delivery done" flags defined in each creative project statuses.  

You should review the responsible roles to make sure they make sense in your workflow.

 

Feature #3: Dashboard with personal/team metrics and favourite media plans

A new "Dashboard" module is now available in your account to outline all the information that needs attention now - either by you or by your team

The information is personalized for every user based on their roles, assignments and deadlines.

The boxes are color code as follow:

  • a red box needs attention now, as it is mostly overdue.  
  • a gray box needs attention in soon as it is something that will become overdue soon.
  • a green box means that there's nothing to do, everything is done and under control.

 

 

The dashboard contains 3 sections as follow:

Section #1: Media Insertion Metrics

Note that only users with "Access planning" will see the "Media insertions" section in the dashboard.

This section outlines the media insertions that needs attention either by you (Personal) or by your team (Team)

  1. The media insertions that missed their booking deadlines. 
  2. The media insertions that needs to be booked soon as their delivery date or run date is in the next 7 days.
  3. The media insertions that have no responsible role assignments (e.g. No marketing manager).

Here's an overview:

 

Section #2: Creative Projects Metrics

Note that only users with "Access production" will see the "Creative projects" section in the dashboard.

This section outlines the creative projects that needs attention either by you (Personal) or by your team (Team):

  1. The creative projects that missed their delivery deadlines. 
  2. The creative projects that needs to be delivered soon as their delivery date is in the next 7 days.
  3. The creative projects that have no responsible role assignments (e.g. No designer or copywriter).

Here's an overview:

 

Section #3: My Media Plans

This section outlines your favourite media plans with budget/expense summary and quick links to the different media insertions views.

 

Favourite media plans are "pinned" to the dashboard.  This allows each user to customize what media plans they want to see on their dashboard.

You can pin the following items:

  • A media plan
  • A campaign
  • An organization group: This will display all the active media plans of all organizations of the organization group in the dashboard.
  • An organization: This will display all the active media plans of the organization in the dashboard.

Existing users: Note that we've automatically pinned all active media plans on your dashboards.

To pinned (or unpinned) an item to the dashboard, go to the module where the item is managed (e.g.: Media plans module for media plan and campaign - Organizations module for organization group and organization).

 

Feature #4: Daily todo list email

Users that are members of a responsible role for a planning/production status can now receive a daily todo list email that summarizes the media insertions and creative projects that needs your attention today.

 

The daily todo list email can be enabled/disabled in your profile:

Existing users: Note that we've automatically DISABLED the todo list email.  You can ENABLED it in your profile.  

*** We suggest to cleanup the metrics in your dashboard prior to enable the todo list email ***

 

Feature #5: File upload increased to 150megs

The file upload limit is now 150megs (instead of 50megs).

 

Feature #6: Logo included in Excel exports

The logo is now included in Excel exports

 

Media Plans enhancements

Feature #7: "Campaigns" module is renamed to "Media Plans" module

The "Campaigns" module was renamed to "Media Plans". 

 

All existing features within the module are exactly the same.

 

Feature #8: "Media Plans" budgets/expenses summary with quick links to Planning module

In the "Media plans" module, each media plan now displays the total expenses and remaining budgets with quick links to the different views of the planning module

 

It also displays the expenses and notes per organizations with quick links to the different views of the planning module

 

Planning enhancements 

 

Feature #9: Auto calculate cost based on date costs

In the media insertion form, you can now automatically set the cost of a media insertion with the sum of all the allocated date budgets:

Feature #10: Corrections Asked by / Complete by details

In the corrections section of a creative project, you can now see who asked for the correction and who completed the correction:

 

Feature #11: Send email on selected changes (status, assignment, comments, corrections, and files)

You can now be notified by email when a creative project you're assigned to is changed by another user:

 

 

The notification includes the following changes:

  • Status changes
  • Assignments changes
  • Comments added
  • Corrections added
  • Files added

 

The change notification email can be enabled/disabled in your profile:

Existing users: Note that we've automatically enabled the change notification email.

 

Media enhancements

Feature #12: Add notes to media category

You can now add notes on a media category:

 

Organization enhancements

Feature #13: "Organizations" budgets/expenses summary with quick links to Planning module

In the "Organizations" module, each organization now displays the total expenses and remaining budgets with quick links to the different views of the planning module
