As you probably already know, the MediaPlanHQ team does a lot of upgrades every year. We've averaged 3 maintenance releases per week, and almost 1 major release per month over the past 11 years.
These releases may include fixing issues, customization to your account, improving existing features, or completely new features - All based on your feedback and suggestions.
For major releases, we notified you using the big red banner at the top of the header with a link to a release notes just like this one.
As for the maintenance release, we only notified you if the release included something you requested/reported, such as a small feature, a customization in your account, etc.
The problem is that we release a ton a smaller features in maintenance releases that you may not know of that may be useful to you.
With this release, we're changing the way we notify you of upgrades. We'll be using a what's new change log which will allow us to notify you of all the changes we're doing in MediaPlanHQ.

Help popover improvement
First, we improved the help popover to organize the content and make better room for the What's new change log:

Clicking on the What's new link will display the What's new change log:
It displays all the changes we did in MediaPlanHQ in chronological order.
A change can be as minimal as only having a name or be more complete with a description, read more link and screenshot depending on its complexity.
Changes are also typed as follow:
|New||A new feature|
|Improved||An improvement to an existing feature|
|Customization||A customization in your account. Note that these changes are only available in the account who requested the change.|
|Fixed||An issue that was fixed.|
|Maintenance||A scheduled maintenance planned on our server infrastructure.|
What's new in-app notifications
The system will highlight the number of changes since the last time you opened the what's new change log next to the Help link (#1) in the header, and the What's new link (#2) in the help popover:
Clicking on the What's new link will reset the counter.
What's new email notifications
You can also opt-in to receive the What's new change log by email:
You can configure the email frequency in the help popover or in your user profile:
|None||Don't send me the What's new change log by email.|
|Daily||Check every day for changes and notify me by email if changes are found.|
|Weekly||Check once a week, on Mondays, for changes and notify me by email if changes are found.|
|Monthly||Check once a month, on the 1st of the month, for changes and notify me by email if changes are found.|
Existing users: Note that we've automatically configured all users with Administration permissions to Monthly . All other users are configured to None.
