Release date: July 3rd, 2018
The challenge when you're an "Agency" is that you act as a middleman between your clients and your media vendors, and need to monitor the costs based on each point of view.
Typically, when you interact with your clients, you want the cost details to include the commission to reflect what your clients will pay you.
On the other side, when you interact with your media vendor, you want the cost details to exclude the commission to reflect what you're paying the media vendor.
Prior to this release, the commission was not used in the cost engine - it was simply captured and displayed as an information on a media insertion.
With this release, the cost engine was standardized to better support "Agency" users with the commission feature enabled.
Now, the cost engine is fully integrated to include the commission in its calculations and displayed information which better reflects the actual state of costs payable by your clients and payable to your vendor to make sure you know exactly where you stand depending on the task at hand.
Let's have a look...
Note that most of the enhancements below are for "Agency" users with the commission feature enabled. The changes are minimal for "Advertiser" users, but we still included screenshots to highlight the differences.
Cost details in Media Plans
The "Media plans" module now has a new "Cost details" tab that summarizes the different costs for a given media plan or campaign.
